Wise Words

I couldn’t keep it to myself,

Had the world ready to give her.

Held all my feelings aside to be someone I’m not,

To her, I am another man to overlook.

Forever drawing a fantasy only I can see,

Left the rest for my withering heart to feel.

The words I once said,

To belong is to be chosen.

The warmth I want is all yours to give,

The peace you desire is my goal to bring.

I would travel the world looking,

For a paradise where we could always belong.
