To Choose a Path

I am torn between mind and heart

Which path should I follow?

For one leads to serenity and other,

the other reaches sorrow.

I have grown tired

Playing life’s gamble,

Where Every choice is a drop of wax

Dripping down a burning candle.

Shall I choose the mind?

It of course is wiser.

Or shall I run along my heart

To lead a life much kinder?

Oh let this day pass

I shall choose tomorrow

Or not at all if I may

Have another moment to borrow

Sometime ages and ages hence

You May remember this day

With a sigh or frustration.

To choose a path is difficult indeed,

But a decision must be taken.
