The Revival

You think it’s over, long overdue

But past becomes your present.

You love it or hate it,

death is the only ending that won’t haunt you.

Try loving a flower and see how fast it withers.

That pain you feel in that short amount of time,

Will be decades for someone you’ve longed.

Breathe too much you’ve break and a little less you’ll fly.

I’m left a friend, a person you’d never want to truly know.

Though I let the moment make me forget it, its all I ever was.

Can something this painful be dealt with if you were me?

Or will you have given up for good?
