Stars Align - Jamilah Reid

I am the star, you are the moon and tonight we will illuminate the earth with our light of love. For you are me, and I am you and together, we have made the sun in the morning,

an eclipse at night and a meteroid shower of Northern Lights across the azure skys.

Don't be discouraged by the streets which are well lit with electricity,

because you are the source,

we are connected to the artist and we were made in his artistry.

You're not a facade, I touch your face,

I've felt your lips and I know that truly,

you kissed the ocean's salt and perched on the sand in your subliminal bliss.

Washed up but not buried, washed up gold.

Dig deep for the gold and I may call you Mr.Leone,

because truly I am your Searra.

You're from the continent, but still manage to be an island of love.

I have not met you, but I love me and…

I am all of these things: a force, powerful, bright, chilling, warm and ecstatic!

So thank you for being my light-year for years.

My constant solar system, as we revolve to the unknown but still you are...my star!
