අපි එකම ගින්නක ඉපදුණේ

අඳුරු වැහි කළු එද්දි වැඩියෙන් අඩපු ඇස්වල රෝස මල්වල

හුස්ම ටික කළුවරේ යනකොට සාප දෙන ඇත් පන්ති හිත්වල

හීත මැදියම රණ්ඩු කර කර මදුරු මව්වරු කියන නඩුවල

කඳුළු නාවෙම කොහොම ඇහුවලු අහක නොබලපු එහෙම තැන්වල

සුවඳ පිච්චුණ බිත්ති හතරට යාවෙලා ජීවිතේ ඇතුවා

හීන මල් පෙති යන්ට ඉඩ දී උන්ට ඉර එන කවුළු නැතුවා

තවත් මොහොතක් යදින වෙව්ලපු අත් වලින් ආදරේ ගැලුවා

එකෙක් අපි අත ඇරලා යනකොට නිවෙන්නට හිත හේතු හැදුවා

මැරුණු මල්වල පාට අරගෙන සිර කුටිය බිත්තියේ ගුවනේ

ඇඳී තිබුණලු උන්ගෙ පපුවෙන් ගලන කඳුළක් දැකපු සිහිනේ

හදවතම අත් දෙකට අරගෙන තියා කෙනෙකුගෙ පපුව අයිනේ

වැහැරිලා ඉරි තලපු හුස්මෙත් ආදරේ විතරමයි පෙනුණේ

සිදාදිය මඟ වරද්දපු මල් දැන දැනත් තටු සිදපු වන මල්

උහුලගන්නම බැරිම දවසට උන්ව රිද්දා රිද්ද ගත් ගල්

අහස මෙච්චර නපුරු කොහොමද හොයා පැටලුණු පැටව් වල දැල්

දැකල තියෙනව ලැව් ගින්න ළඟ අඬන වැලපෙන වරා තුරුවැල්

සමයි අපි හිත් පුරා උතුරන පිය සෙනේ ඇට නහර සින්දා

උඹල හයියෙන් අඬද්දිත් මම නෑඩුවේ ඒ හුස්ම හන්දා

පැටව් ඔක්කොම එකයි උන් අපෙ පපුව ඇතුළෙන් අනින හින්දා

උහුලපන් අපි එකම ගින්නක ඉපදුණේ දරු ගින්න රන්දා
