ඔය පපුව ලස්සනයි ළඟදි වෙන තැනක තව

සුදු පාට රන් තෝඩු දුලන එළි බල්බ් වට

අඟ ඉඳන් නෙතේ කොපුලතේ දෙපසින්ම බට

ඇඳි ඇඳී සවන්වල ඉසිඹු හැර විටින් විට

මියදිලා යති උන්ට යහන තහනම්ම කොට

නුඹ ඈත නිල ගෙනෙන වළාකුළු සහස් රළ

වසන්තය අහවරයි ඇරඹුණේ සිසිර කල

දැන් ඉතින් සුදුයි හැම තැනම නෑ පාට දල

රතු පිච්ච මල් පිපුණෙ කළුවරම හවස්වල

දින එකින් එක ඇවිත් යද්දි එන සුසුම් මත

මට කියන නුඹට හංඟන්න කප්පරක් ඇත

සීරිලා පපුව සුදු සයන කරවද්දි රත

අත අරන් ඉඹිනවද සිඹිනු බැරි නිසා හිත

කඳුළු නැති ප්‍රේම ඇති ලස්සනම හීන කොන

පුංචි මල් පිපෙන්නම සුවඳ ඉහිරෙනා තැන

ඉදින් ඔය හිතින් මා මරා ඇස්වලින් ගෙන

දකින්නයි ඕන මට නුඹේ හසරැල්ල ගැන

උණුහුමට ගුලිවෙන්න හීතලට දෙන්න සුව

ඕනෙමයි සුපුල් එක හිතක් වැඩිවෙන්න රුව

පර වෙලා යන්න විතරක්ම පිපි මලක නොව
