Shit happens, and life …?

By Shane Manilal

Why is it that we can think back?

Analyse, regret, wishing some things didn’t happen?

Our actions we attack,

regretting what we did to make our spirits dampen.

However, is that not the power of thought?

Everything learns from what it does.

Even after losing a battle you truly fought,

you gave your all to what was.

That is exactly it because it was meant to happen,

and you can’t go back and change anything,

but your spirits you dampen,

wishing you did this, wishing you did that, wishing, wishing, wishing?

Sadly, we inherently have that capacity,

yet what’s meant to be, is what’s meant to be!

Even when its not what we wanted, that’s destiny,

so accept and move on, set your mind free.

Learn from your mistakes yes,

but let go of all the stress,

coz shit happens the way it was meant to,

and it will lead to something new.

Embrace the change,

Placing you into a tangible range,

To achieve something at least,

Not totally slaying your dreams beast!
