Inner treasure

If we come to know our unique inner self,

then no longer would we leave our treasure gathering dust on its shelf.

But we would see the value that it contains,

and use it to free our souls from its choking chains.

Fear is understandable; until now, your prison has kept you from harm.

But it has also concealed your soul’s true charm.

What is inside you carries value on this earth.

If you bring it forth, you will no longer question your immense worth.

Loving yourself is the key to unlocking your gold.

Accept who you are, and don’t force yourself into any mould.

You are already perfect, a temple of God’s light.

Allow yourself the time to repair the damage sustained during your fight.

Repent, forgive, and proclaim peace over the war that raged inside.

And let flowers of kindness rule the ground once choked by violent pride.

Then remember that there is a multitude who is still at war,

who doesn’t yet know their worth, or what they are here for.

Whose treasure is still tightly locked up,

and who still believes that they need their half-empty cup.

Be the wind that spreads the seeds of kindness.

Be a mirror reflecting truth that can dissolve the scales of blindness.

But ultimately, just be there.

Look at people, animals, and nature through eyes that truly care.

Trade judgment for understanding compassion,

and be kind with unwavering passion.
