Here springs forth vexation

Its essence deep beneath the surface of my soul

A sense of undirected, unsolicited exasperation

The child of meaningless wrath… by what name is it called?

Gloom elapses as the wrathful stranger takes its leave,

Devoid of cause, the gloom consumes my soul

Under a veil of confusion, mistrust begins to breath

And unreason begins to call.

Alive at once, like clockwork-toys, sounds begin to dance

Had I no glimpse of sense, I would have drifted into a trance

The ebb and flow of wandering noise penetrate my mind

Yet, still, fear shines within my darkening eyes.

Voices that I had not known before – they now begin to call.

It is as if within my ears they speak, lacking a physical form

And my thoughts: Paranoid, laced with delusion

Their visage conjuring confusion

It takes hold, in the clutches of volatility

– it renders me engulfed in a stupefied state

Doubting the integrity of those that serve as anchors

And pilfering my rationality in an instant

Those that endeavour to conquer my thoughts

Wither in despair

Those who know of such malaise

Are aware that these afflictions yield only to immersion into my reality
