Mileva Speaks

I was the mind beside his,

the quiet pulse

beneath the thunder of his name.

While he dreamt of light,

I solved the shadows,

drawing lines between numbers and stars.

He soared through equations —

and I, through silence.

The world crowned him

with halos of intellect,

while I became a footnote,

a whisper in the margins of his genius.

I loved him —

with the patience of atoms,

with the endurance of gravity.

But love is no constant

in the realm of men;

It bends, it breaks,

it yields to fame.

Our child’s laughter became distant echoes, our home - a blackboard of unsolved hearts. And I, Mileva, once his equal in thought, became the shadow behind his light.

Yet even shadows are proof of the sun. And though history forgot my name,

the stars still burn

with the sum of us both.
