I will miss you forever

It's your birthday. I don't think i could ever forget it. I haven't seen you in 2 years. One of the most painful parts of heartbreak is that only the person leaves, but everything you know about them remains. I know how much you hate vegetables. I know your favourite drink. I know your favourite clothing brand. I know your favourite animal. I know how purely and beautifully you love. I know that you wish you belonged somewhere in this world. You left such an imprint in my heart that no matter how much it grows over it, there will always be a dent in the shape of you. Your absence has haunted me, but I am learning to live with ghosts. Maybe in another life, we'll get it right. In this one, I will miss you forever.
