No matter the exhaustion or the sickness I feel,

I wake up each day and pour my heart and brain

Into my passions and my dreams,

Honoring the spark of talent I was born with.

For I know a day will come with no sunrise for me,

And before that final twilight,

I want to see how close I reached,

Never left to pity what could have been.

The tragedy of unused potential and wasted gift

Is something that can never be undone—

And I am forever grateful

For the talent and consciousness I hold.
