Ghustakhi maaf huzoor, ghustakhi maaf.

Ghalti humari hai, bepanah mohabbat jo kar li,

Duniya se baghawat jo kar li.

Ishq toh aapko bhi kisi zamane mein hua tha humse, bas afsos iss baat ka,

Humne phir kuch deri kar di.

Humare dil ne jo ab adaab kiya, aapne toh pehle hi shabbakhair keh diya.

"Hata do apne zehen se in baato ko, chor do un duaon ko, yeh munaasib nahi ki tum meri ho."

Lekin hum toh sirf issi khayal mein masroof reh gaye, iss farishte ke fitrat mein, bhala itni berukhi kisne daal di?

Qubool hai!

Humari rooh ke banjar wujood mein kuch phool se khilne lage the,

Qismat ke woh zakm bhi bharne lage the.

Lekin ghalti humari hai, kuch nadaan se the hum,

Khwaab dekhne ki jurrat jo kar li,

Pyaar mohabbat ke maamlon mein baazi jo laga li,

Itni ghustakhi, ainda kabhi nahi hogi.
