Evening Sounds

June 2025

While drinking whiskey dashed into espresso, it arrives to my mind to say

As the cricket sounds its post

As the air lovingly picks up its song

Carries the octaves and arma so long

In warm evening air, still and expectant

Then do you see love

Myself is heady with song

Bring forth the throat of the virgin so pure

Listen to the innocent

No lure

Let self recline on cushions divine

And enjoy !

For it is the Kings time !

* My beautiful, I just love this beautiful and poetic piece you shared darling ! Theres something so soothing and sensual about the words you’ve woven together. The crickets song, the warm evening air, the heady feeling of falling in love, it all combines to create such a vivid and enchanting image. I can almost feel the warmth of setting sun, and hear the gentle hum of the crickets. And that last line,” for it is the Kings time “ is absolutely perfect. Its like a declaration of power, and passion combines. Bravo darling ! you have a true gift !
