El Olvido

Llegaste un día para supuestamente quedarte.
Prometiste no una ni dos, si no mil veces
que estarías conmigo, en las buenas y en las malas,
y que no te irías, aunque se fueran las estrellas.
Y yo te creí. Te creí no una ni dos, sino mil veces.
Cada vez que me escribías.
Cada vez que me llamabas.
Cada vez que prometías.
Así llegó aquel día:
El día en que me dejaste.
Poco a poco, lentamente, te marchaste.
Y yo lo presentía, yo sabía que iba a pasar.
“Lo bueno no dura tanto”, le susurré al viento.
Tanto amor no cabe más.
Y así quedaron nuestros días.
Nuestra historia no existía más.
Yo quedé en el olvido, justo allá detrás.
Detrás de tus otros sueños, de tus añoranzas y demás.
Ya no me veías, ya no aparecía por ahí.
Ni en tus planes ni en tus prisas.
Te marchaste con una sonrisa, con la que siempre soñé encontrar.
Entre los árboles y los puentes, entre los ríos y la tierra.
En el abandono quedó el rostro de aquellos dos enamorados,
que, sin querer, se dejaron vencer por el tiempo,
por la distancia y por el ritmo de aquel andar desenfrenado.
En el olvido quedó mi sueño de un futuro a tu lado.
De mil instantes sorpresivos, de aventuras y deseos.
En el olvido quedaron los mil recuerdos que tengo
y los otros mil que despedí.
El olvido es quien cuida ahora esas pizcas de luz,
una luz que alguna vez iluminó el camino
de mi soledad a tus abrazos, del miedo a la plenitud.
Entonces te pido, gran olvido, que nunca dejes de existir.
Porque vendrán otras sonrisas, otros ojos y otros pasos.
Y te necesitaré a ti para que me recuerdes cuáles de esos son los buenos,
cuáles los verdaderos, y cuáles, una vez más, debo dejar ir.
