BECAUSE MY HEART KNOWS THINGS MY LIPS CAN’T EXPLAIN

I die every time by your hands

Only to be reborn

With the call of my name

I hide and watch you from afar

Muttering words of prayer

That somehow you will turn and notice me

From a million miles away

It seems with every step you take,

The strings of my heart

Play a melody

If only my eyes could speak

And my heart could sing

Then the whole world

Would know your name

I hold my breath with every passing

Clutch my chest for fear it will be heard

You make me want to run across every known field

Shouting out my love for you

My breath hikes at the sound of your voice

My lips tremble at the sight of you

Because my heart knows things my lips can't explain
