A song in the wilderness

I hear a whisper in my ears,

A voice behind the clouds calling out my name is tones that are rhymic

I’m blinded by how His throne shines but I look through the brightness of it,

My eye lids and lashes are buried by the sand

And legs lost in the dune,

So I can’t see the flashes in the sky

But only flames that burn in my soul to make sure my blood boils and I live to see another day .

When my lips get dry and cracked

And I’m only left with water that is behind the rocks

I hope you break those stones into pieces to create a path for the flow of a river to grow what I feed on,

And make my tongue sweet with honey so that I forget that of locusts that I do survive on

And in silence I sing

Oh Lord ,

Take me through the scotching sun and cold nights of the wilderness

Show me the fullness of your presence inform of the moon that you paint wit your own hands

For I’d like to see the magic that is in your words one more time before my worlds ends

Oh Lord ,

Take me to tomorrow so that I testify about the goodness you posses

And tell to the whole world how dependent that can be on you

For you are the lord

And I sing in the wilderness again

With my head surrounded by frames of love that is incomparable to what any man can give

I have a vision of myself walking out of the desert on carpets that are laid from angels

Since I managed to resist the temptations that were set by the devil

I skipped his traps and held on to your grace

You were there when I had no one,

Even when out of the wilderness I still sing for you, my God.
