राजा-बेटा।

राजा-बेटा।

इक पल है मौत,चार पल जिंदगानी,

दस ठो झंझट पाले है प्राणी।

कफ़न में हैं जाते रोटी, लंगोटी,

आँखों से बहता इक लोटा पानी।

इक टूटी खटिया पे, हैं बुढ़िया नानी,

आधी सी रातों की पूरी कहानी।

मंत्र न आयत न गुरुबाणी,

पोपले मुँह की सच्ची वाणी।

सच है कहानी, न बाजा बजेगा,

बाजा बजेगा जब राजा सजेगा

राजा का बेटा न राजा बनेगा,

राजा जिसे चाहे राजा बनेगा।

नानी कहानी से सदियों पुरानी,

सदियाँ गुजरी,गुजरी न नानी।

कलजुग के राजा की है ये कहानी,

कैसे कहानी नानी ने जानी?

नानी पे आए देवता-भवानी,

सोया ज़माना,जागी थीं नानी।

पोथी का काटा माँगे न पानी,

दस्तखत में घिस गए सारे ज्ञानी।

पोथी का मंतर जाने थी नानी,

पोंगी थी पोथी,नानी सयानी।

पोथी की बातें ज़माना कहेगा,

पोथी में फिर न जमाना रहेगा ।

राजा का बेटा न राजा बनेगा,

राजा जिसे चाहे राजा बनेगा।

बित्ता भर खेत में दो अंगुल पानी,

बीघा भर भूख में पाँच प्राणी।

चक्की चुड़ैल का पैर है उल्टा,

आग सती है ,चूल्हे पे, कुल्टा।

राजा का संदेश आया उधर से,

लाला का ठेला लगा है नगर में।

बगल दलिद्दर,नगर में ढिंढोरा,

गाँव का बाँका उसी ओर दौड़ा।

नानी बोलीं “ पछताना पड़ेगा,

एक दिन वापस आना पड़ेगा।

ठहरा पानी कैसे बहेगा,

जड़ से जुदा पेड़ कैसे रहेगा”।

राजा का बेटा न राजा बनेगा,

राजा जिसे चाहे राजा बनेगा।

लाला का संसार स्वर्ग से भारी,

राजकुँवर सब राजकुमारी।

धरती,सूरज,चाँद,तारे मिलेंगे,

डूबोगे जितना, किनारे मिलेंगे।

लाला के ठेले पे सजते रहना,

चुटकी बजे तो बजते रहना।

राजा-बेटा, राज-दुलारा,

अम्मा, बाबू की आँख का तारा।

हिंडोले चढ़कर ऐसा झूला,

अम्मा,बाबू की धरती भूला।

राजा बोला” इसे राजा बनाओ,

हिंडोले को और ऊपर घुमाओ।

भूमि पर भगवान कैसे रहेगा,

धरती के दु:ख-दर्द कैसे सहेगा”?

राजा का बेटा न राजा बनेगा,

राजा जिसे चाहे राजा बनेगा।

ऊपर से देखें था राज-दुलारा,

खटमल की खटिया था जग सारा।

जलते जंगल , नदियाँ बुझतीं ,

चारित्रिक चिताएँ दिन-रात फुँकतीं।

पानी पिशाच,हवा बड़ी डायन,

नर से बहुत दूर थे नारायण।

खून बचा न देह में उसकी,

आँखें थी भीगी नेह में उसकी।

राजा बोला”अब इसको हटाओ,

एक नया राजा लेकर आओ”।

आकाश से धरती पर आया,

फिर वो सितारा उठ न पाया।

धरती के प्राण कैसे बचेंगे?

लाला क्या संसार फिर से रचेंगे?

चिंता की चिता में कौन जलेगा,

लाला का ठेला फिर से सजेगा।

राजा का बेटा न राजा बनेगा,

राजा जिसे चाहे,राजा बनेगा।

नानी खटिया पे दिन-रात रोतीं,

अंधों के आगे नयन अपने खोतीं।

धरती है सोना,पसीना है मोती,

भरम में ये दुनिया चैन अपना खोती।

यही पेड़-पौधे,ये नदियों के धारे,

पोखर,हवा,पर्वत,जंगल प्यारे,

राजाओं के राजा हैं ये सारे,

चाहे जिसे उसे राजा बना दें।

राजा-बेटा नहीं कोई बनता,

रस्सी जली सा हर कोई तनता।

लाला की चक्की में दिन-रात पिसते,

जादू का हैं दीपक घिसते।

दीपक नीचे घोर अँधेरा,

ढोल के अंदर पोल का डेरा।

है ही नहीं, जो कैसे मिलेगा?

जिन्न का जादू कैसे चलेगा?

राजा का बेटा न राजा बनेगा,

राजा जिसे चाहे राजा बनेगा।
