बेटी की माँ

एक औरत जब बनती है माँ ,

एक बेटी की माँ ,

समाज और परिवार के तानों

और उनकी तिरछी नज़रों की बनती है गवाह।

फिर सँभालकर ख़ुद को ,

देखती है अपनी लाड़ली के मुख को ,

और सब कुछ छोड़ देती है ,

फिर नहीं करती वो किसी की परवाह ,

अपनी बेटी की आज़ाद उड़ान के सपने लिए आँखों में ,

उसके पंखों को तराशने में

ख़ुद के सपने कर देती है स्वाहा ।

पर मुश्किलें उसकी अब भी नहीं होती कम …

जब तक बच्ची उसकी सुरक्षित नहीं आ जाती घर ,

तब तक नहीं आता उसके दम में दम ,

पहले जवान बच्चियों की रहती थी जो चिंता माँओं को ,

अब तो दिल घबरा जाता है देखकर ,

अपनी छोटी सी बेटी के साथ चलते सायों को ।

किस पर विश्वास करे और किस पर नहीं ,

कौन ग़लत है और कौन सही ?

सुनकर इधर- उधर से खबरें ऐसी ,

उसके मन की व्यथा , किसी से नहीं जा सकती कही ।

चक्रव्यूह अभी भी ख़त्म न हुआ था ,

अब बेटी की शादी भी उसके सामने एक जुआ था ,

घर - वर अच्छा मिल जाए , रिश्ता ये लंबा चल जाए ,

यह भी धुँधला-सा एक धुआँ था ।

दिल पर पत्थर रखकर ये जुवा भी वो खेलती है ,

उसके हर कहे - अनकहे दुख को वो झेलती है ,

दहेज के लालची भेड़ियों से गर वास्ता पड़ता है ,

तो बेटी की धड़कन उसके दिल में धड़कती है ।

सोचकर हाय ! ये तो बेटी के दुखों की अति है ,

कहीं मार न दे , जला न दे मेरे दिल के टुकड़े को ,

यह सोचकर पल- पल वो तिल- तिल मरती है ।

और अच्छे लोग अगर मिल जाएँ ,

तो चिंता ये कि कहीं आगे चलकर बदल न जाएँ ,

मेरी बेटी भी अच्छे - से रिश्ते निभा पाए ,

मन के इस द्वंद्व से बन जाती है रोगी उसकी काया ,

उलझन और तनाव लगता है उसके ख़ून में समाया,

फिर जब उसकी बेटी बनती है माँ ,

एक बेटी की माँ ,

इस चक्र की फिर वो बन जाती है गवाह ,

एक बेटी की माँ…
