“मुझे ऐसा लगता है, जैसे मैं अपने ईश्वर से छल कर रहा हूँ...\r\nक्योंकि पूजा के दौरान, जब होठों पर मंत्र होते हैं,\r\nतब अचानक बीच में तुम्हारा नाम बुदबुदा उठना,\r\nअगर छल नहीं... तो फिर और क्या है?\r\n​मैं ईश्वर के आगे भी तेरी ही सलामती माँग बैठता हूँ,\r\nमेरी इबादत में अब खुदा कम, और तू ज़्यादा नज़र आता है।\r\n​समझ नहीं आता कि यह मेरी इबादत का कोई गुनाह है,\r\nया मेरी मोहब्बत ही अब मेरी बंदगी बनती जा रही है...”
