शीर्षक: अफ़रा-तफ़री

अफ़रा-तफ़री में साख़्त गढ़ रहा हूँ,

क्या वाकई मैं कहीं जा रहा हूँ?

रास्तों पर चलते हुए बस यूँ ही सोच लेता हूँ,

इन माज़ी-परस्तियों में क्या ही खोज लेता हूँ।

बैठूँ तो... ठहरने की रस्म इशारा कर देती है,

कि बैठो जहाँ, बस डट के बैठो,

सुना है ये रातें अक्सर आवारा कर देती हैं...

दिन तो गुज़र जाता है ख़्वाहिशों की अज़ियत में,

मगर तन्हाई की रातें कुछ और ही नज़ारा कर देती हैं।

सब पूछते हैं-ये जो तुम्हें मिला है,

जाने ये किस फ़सले का फ़ैसला है?

या ये महज़ ग़मों का कोई गुनाह है?

जिसने भी तुमको ये ज़ख्म दिए,

क्या वो वाक़ई 'गुनाहों का देवता' है?

ना-जाने हमें किसके मलाल ने मारा,

खैर, जैसे भी मारा... ख़ूब मारा।

अब इन्हीं अंधेरों की उंगली थामे चलता जा रहा हूँ,

शायद, अब मैं बहुत दूर निकलता जा रहा हूँ...

आख़िर अपनी तमीज़ का फ़र्ज़ निभा रहा हूँ,

जिस घर की दहलीज से गुज़रा था मैं कभी,

आज उसी घर को बस एक मुसाफ़िर की तरह गुज़र के जा रहा हूँ।

हाँ... शायद अब मैं कहीं जा रहा हूँ।
