Pale Ghost of Hue

What if! - the world had lost all hue;

it would be such catastrophe to cut through;

imagine waking up to a dull and grey start!;

and you flicker as the poise of a red flaming heart.

No passion you would endure as you plunge down below;

into a deep blue chasm where echoes flow;

a world without colour would feel hollow and grey;

even a black grave would shy away.

No lights would spark- nor golden rays' gleam;

no yellow rays of hope would weave your dreams;

you would stand perplexed as violet whispers retreat;

their secrets would remain untold and rhythm off beat!.

This puzzle would persist for how bleak it grew!;

the world would linger as a pale ghost of hue;

each moment to endure would be in disguise;

of the phantom of warmth who has none of it- to ignite.

The gardens would be bleached and skies would remain still;

rivers would flow in white with a gloomy chill;

emerald meadows would be barren and

austere;

the colour of life would vanish everywhere.

But what if! - a faint spectrum would remain;

a lost spark would make colours run in your veins;

if shades would return and their hues would

intertwine;

what if! - the world would again, attain life.
