Whisperer

Whisperer

Grains of sand cling onto me, sticking on my skin like powdered sugar being thickly coated on my favorite pastry,

stubbornly entangling and holding onto my hair like the dandelion dancing to the celebration of seasonal changes, spreading all across the spring and summer field with all the intentions to grow happy flowers, the foundation of all lives

they even run into the cracks of my fingernails,

each I patiently wash off,

rubbing my hands by the shallow end of the sea

where cold water drowns my toes and washes my feet

and I tiptoe on the hot, white sand, where it is burning my feet

my footprints get barely washed off

The white foam lingers on the dampened sand

still, the emptied seashells, once carried little crabs of kinds, all gathered, now being led, and they travel from one shore to another,

they all lay rest, making up today’s shoreline

You speak to me like those empty shells by the sea

Your words play through me like an old radio,

grainy and familiar,

stroking my heart as if it was a little kitten to be loved

Sooner or later,

your voice crawls into my ears like a little hermit crab to its shell,

Your voice sits in my head like a king to his rightful glory

There

the rain whispers to me saying

“I love you”

“I love you”

over and over again

Undeniably and surely

you love me

without letting the sun take off my clothes

or the wind blowing my senses off,

you love me

In the most sleepless night,

the seashells sing me to sleep
