The Sadness in Your Eyes Fascinates Me

The sadness in your eyes fascinates me

When you don’t speak, the silence echoes in the capacity of my small ears

When your sleepless, hollowed eyes blaze at me, for even for a mere second, my clothes leave me naked, my past rolls like an old projector in the back of your head, my life laid out on your hands

The moment your pale lips graze mine, my heart is filled with immense joy and I smile against your kiss

and I can’t stop smiling

Your crooked, cold fingers provide me with unusual warmth and strength

and when you touch me with your winter hands, you take me to ecstasy like what love and other drugs do to me

Oh, sweet heavens, forgive-

I sin-

each time you come with me

I betray all my senses as I surrender all in you, all in me

I yield to the gentle existence of you, I wish to fill my lungs with your lukewarm scent, bury my face and spread my hair all on and across your chest, to breathe you in each day, each of my breaths to my very last, and let you erode me, my consciousness, to fill my brain with your every moment, either waking tenderness, or, touching eagerness, or, drowning lonesomeness, to fill my every consciousness with you, ever you, you.

Your wandering mind intrigues me, pondering, traveling, planning, escaping, ever-lost, wanderlust. The gods and demons going to war inside that beautiful head of yours, you wanna go everywhere but here, to escape the voices calling to you in your head, but you stay trapped, being pulled back by the existence of a phantom, you move so stubbornly like the wrong side of a magnet, the better part of you adhere to the thought of a change, even so, your smiles disappear, even though your once faintly curved lips no longer share the same joyous breath, your dark brown eyes of oak glittering under the red light of the bar but they never shed a tear, still, you remain aimlessly motionless, feeling so lonely

Your once clear, brown eyes have darkened, like how you dress yourself black from head to toe, digging depths from the abyss of your whole existence, boy, you are a long way from the “exposure” and “saturation” that you so like to capture with a lens, and even farther away from heaven, separated from everyone who gives voluntarily, when I first laid my skin on you, you were but a lonely star, now all I see is melancholy, optimism lost in misery

I yield to the existence of you, yet I yearn for the memory of what was once you, I wish to fill my lungs with the heaviness of your light breath, to bury my face, and spread my dark blonde hair on the wholesomeness of your strong field of a chest, slow hands back of my head, fill my brain with curves and arches of your eyes and mouth, the sound of your laughs echoing in the capacity of my hearing, to taste the joy in your sweet lips and vanish inside your kiss until every cell and fiber in me merge and share the same joy with you, just you, ever you
