Where My Shadow Belongs

The shadow that searches

for its master,

unwritten in any book.

The craziest follower,

swaying where he moves,

feeling the foolishness,

yet ready to be destroyed.

Burning and hurting,

still ready to fall,

it completes the chaos,

yet blossoms on its own.

Such are its flames:

they do not burn,

they give the deepest feeling.

It knows it will fall.

It knows it will break.

But the master engulfs

everything within it,

and heals it

even when it has scattered.
