But what if I just held out a little longer?

I didn't push it,

didn't make it a big deal.

What if,

maybe for a minute,

I was enough?

What if it didn't have to be a big deal?

What if it was just me and you,

in the chaos of the world,

for a few minutes?

What if I accepted

that it would never be

"you and me"

in one sentence?

What if it's actually

over for good?
