Waves

Smiles are like oceans,

Deep, and vast, and lying.

Buried under the feigned waves,

are the lies we keep hidden.

My beautiful smile may deceit you,

but don't you get fooled so easily.

Remember about the lies,

that will try and lure you.

I show you I am confident,

Confident and ready.

Happy and ideal.

Pure and flawless.

But don't you believe these lies,

Remember about the ocean,

buried under the fast-moving waves.

Everyday I put up that smile,

like an exquisite vase on display.

You ask for its price in numbers,

when its worth the seaweed cast-off by the waves.

Soon you will see the true contents,

no longer buried or hidden or forged.

Soon you will recognize the beauty,

lying deep within the ocean floors.

And Soon you will find the treasures,

that once seemed to have corrode.

But -

You will be too late,

and time will not wait by your side.

It will rush along with the waves,

that seem to have washed your minds.
