Veridream – veh ri dreem

(N.) the longing for a version of yourself you can glimpse in dreams: a truer more vivid self who lives without fear

I long for a version of me that is a being of patience

A version who is a calm hand in the palm of hostility

A version that questions angers intent and wonders who stress is

I long for a version of me that does not hold fear like a full glass

A version that accepts the difference between a path clear and a path carbonated

A version that opens doors without wondering what it is that lays behind

I long for a version of me that does not reside in anger

A version that forgives the parts of people that are not me

A version that acts according to lines of reasons instead of paragraphs of emotion

I long for a version of me that I do not only dream about

A version that stays and does not disappear as if nothing but a mistress

A version that exists and runs on my very will to be better

So, as I sit here and long for a version of me that does not exist

she is still a version that will

she is just waiting to be born into a quiet existence
