Often I get this feeling in my chest that I never really know how to explain. It’s almost like my heart is too big and heavy for my body. Like my heart is about to burst out of my chest. And I get this feeling when I am with the people I love. And while I’m stuck in the middle of this feeling, I feel untouchable in a way. I seem to step out of my body, and my point of view changes. I think to myself how I’ll never be in this exact moment ever again. I look around at the smiling faces, my friends laughing until they can’t breathe and I let out a sigh. Maybe it’s a sigh of contentment, maybe of sadness, I never really know. Time slows and I try to come back to myself, to snap out of it. It almost feels as if I’m swimming in water and I need to come up for air, but something is holding me under. Or like I’m stuck on a rollercoaster that is more terrifying than fun. My mom always told me that too much of something good is bad. So maybe in those moments I am so filled with happiness and joy that I almost drown in it. Drowning in happiness…
