Until I Am the Poem

I’m always the writer and never the poem

Writing… leaving my mind to roam

Many thoughts flooding my head

Wanting to rant but writing it down instead

My hand flowing effortlessly onto these papers

Thinking of them who are nothing but traitors

With every stroke revealing an allusion

Hoping that I shall reach a conclusion

Ink running through my veins

Hoping for something that I shall attain

And so maybe one day,

If I may say…

I will find someone just like me,

Someone that may be the key

So…

The future lies ahead

And maybe then I will be the poem instead…
