Unclassified

Like a raven, you came,

no warning,

not even a flutter.

A cancerous growth,

you remain,

festering

on and on and on—

rent-free.

In my head,

in my mind,

in me.

Meninges to meninges,

seeping through my bone marrow.

A constant reminder

of who I am,

of who I’m not.

It’s funny how you don’t even know

what you’re doing to me.

Sometimes,

I wish I could hate.

I wish so, so badly.

I’m too frail

to even hate.

I still can’t explain you.

Words fail me

EVERY

SINGLE

TIME.

But I guess that’s how it’ll stay.

That’s how you will stay—
