When true love strikes me, may the charge feel calm,

Electrifying heartbeats pounding chests up and slow,

Like when a cup of warm tea kisses my palm,

Gripping on for so long, heat gone not to know,

Or when the pristine full moon glistens at night,

Revives the coal world, gleaming hope in my sight,

Or by dusk walking pass salty mists at the beach,

Step by step tiny coarse sand tickling my toes,

Tangling thoughts of sweet romance flawlessly in reach,

But foreign synapses signal fear like a bomb,

Oh Lord, Oh Lord,

When true love strikes me, may the charge feel calm.
