Original Submission by Ethan Naidoo

I don’t like tomorrow

I can do one more today though, I mean its already better than yesterday

truly, I don’t like tomorrow

I don’t like yesterday just as much I'm just left with today

I can do one more today

I can’t outrun time and I'm someone that comes undone at the thought of what I could have won, what I could win, the son I should have been, the son I could be.

I don’t like tomorrow

I don’t like yesterday even more

it’s easier just to ignore everything I have to answer for

I treat it like folklore you see it happened before it’s a closed door but I'll remember it forevermore I don’t like tomorrow

I don’t like yesterday just as much today isn’t such a chore

I can do one more

I can see the shore and put my feet in the ocean I can watch the seagulls soar in slow motion I'll notion for your hand

something to adore and care for maybe I'll find a bookstore to explore

somewhere to look for, something to go for, someone to ask for I don’t like tomorrow

I don’t like yesterday either neither could be or what could have been

maybe what is, can be neither

I don’t like tomorrow or yesterday can I borrow your today?

Can I be john doe and say hello only once? there’s a rainbow today and below it no pot of gold

there might be snow tomorrow and I know I would love it although it was yesterday that I saw you glow

awhile ago that everything was slow

even though I'm not so low that emotion doesn’t flow or that I'm not solo even so

I don’t like tomorrow

I don’t like yesterday even more I can do one more today though
