Go into this world softly

Now that the time has come

To move

The hurts that tie rough knots inside you

Are the prayer beads to a life lived more wholly

Open your heart to the possibility

There are

Other ways

Gentle ways

To climb the mountain

There is a wider path

Less steep

With places to pause

Take in the sweeping views of

Past loves and lives

Honour their place now

And when you reach the top

Build a cairn

With the stones of anger, grief and guilt

That weigh you down

Step forward

The cliff is for soaring off

Go, fly to tomorrow.
