The System

Original Submission by Payton

The system is rigged

“If we judge a fish by its ability to clime a tree

We will never see it succeed.”

The system is rigged

If we expect a bird to fly, first try

It will land on the ground, not on its feet

The system is rigged

The system wasn’t made for children

Who are still learning to navigate this world

The system was made by adults

Who have dressed up, messed up, lead up to this fuck up.

Work life balance means nothing when you’re life is work

“Go outside”

But the grass won’t teach me chemistry

“Eat something”

But my food won’t write my essay

The system is rigged, we where never made to survive.
