My hidden temple - Elissa Rossouw

My room is like the hidden temple of Hestia, a place where the world softens its voice.

Music flows through me like a song carried by the Muses, turning thoughts into colors

and colors into stories.

Outside, noise crashes

like the thunderbolts of Zeus,

and some days my struggles weigh upon me like Atlas carrying the endless sky.

I watch other people walk paths that seem smoother, while my own twists like an ancient labyrinth. Yet the sacred flame remains.

It flickers in my music,

glows in my art,

and waits for me in my room.

Though Poseidon sends his storms

and waves claw at my path,

I am like Odysseus,

sailing through the darkness toward my own Ithaca, knowing my home awaits.
