The Prophet

I’ve been searching for you in all

the pages that spoke your name,

but words could not do you justice

and it confused all the same.

Then I sought to look for you in love

and I saw glimpses of you there,

but it was only brief moments,

followed by much despair.

Then I heard a man by chance

that took my soul by storm,

he didn’t speak your name at all

but I knew he was you in form.

Somehow my heart burst into song,

loving you made me transform.

I have never been more wrong,

you were inside of me all along.
