SYAHDAN, YANG DITINGGALKAN

Tatkala kaki melangkah pergi,

Tiada yang kubawa melainkan sunyi,

Sekalian kenangan kutinggal abadi.

Hatta, segala yang pernah kupunya,

Kini tinggal bayang di hujung mata.

Suara yang dahulu mengalun jiwa,

Hanya bergema dalam kamar sukma.

Tiada siapa tahu betapa nestapa,

Tatkala seluruh yang dicinta terpaksa ditinggalkan jua,

Hanya kerana takdir berkata, sampai di sini sahaja.

Gerangan apakah akan kutemui di hari mendatang?

Adakah bahagia, atau sekadar lara yang panjang?

Tiada siapa mampu membaca suratan meski luas terbentang.

Jika kelak rindu datang menyapa kalbu,

Akan aku ingatkan yang telah pergi tiada mungkin menjadi dulu,

Akan aku sedari yang telah pergi selamanya menjadi lalu,

Meski hati masih luluh meratap segenap yang berlalu.
