Storm

The moment those words were uttered,

There immediately came a line.

A divide marked so profound,

A type of barrier well defined.

Things will not be the same,

There will always be this cloud above.

Bearing and loading small drops,

Every word now strikes a nerve.

One day this cloud will split,

The last words will come as thunder.

All will reel from the heavy storm,

As good will and intentions crumble under.

Can new seeds sprout from the storm?

Will all that is left be calm forever?

Or will the cloud above gather again?

To once more unleash its power?
