Sleep

By Mark James

Soft is the whisper of silence

Washing through my mind

Slowly sailing on sleep

Leaving my cares behind

Slowly the visions in sunshine

Take over the thoughts that I ponder

Sweetly my dreams in solitude

Bear me to you there yonder

Sowing the seeds of serenity

Your voice encompasses me

Suckling my beads of insanity

Waking my wanting to be

Sensations heightened like sea tide

Taking me off – who knows where

Soaking my senses in vanity

Endlessly loving you there

Soft is the whisper of silence

Slowly sailing on sleep.
