She Says

“Let me be,” she whispers,

her voice soft, heavy with storms,

her mind carrying too much,

too many tired battles

no one else can see.

She says...

“Leave me alone, let me breathe,

let me fall into myself,

let me cry in quiet,

let me build my own world

where I can be free.”

I see her...

the girl who gives, who waits, who loves

but feels the weight of every expectation.

She trusts, she hopes, she learns,

even with the burden of “Why.”

And still, she laughs, she dreams,

wants her own horizon to be

of friends, of moments, of self.

I remind her...

freedom isn’t loneliness,

it’s the courage to choose

who and what stays,

and what drifts away.

I want to watch her grow

in her orbit,

and I learn too...

to let her be,

to let her fly,

to let her shine,

just as she is.
