I’m picking up the pieces of me again

The ones you left broken

Shattered on the floor

I’m mending the wounds

Cleaning the blood

Packing the gauze

Into the gashes you left me with your claws

Putting back the pieces that you left to rot

The sharpest memories will be hidden away

Behind my back, away from my sight and my mind

But as I look at my self

I see all the scars, the cuts and the pain

The old, the new, the purple and blue

I’ll pick up the pieces again and again

Because at the end of the day,

Its only my life left to regain

Only I can save me from the horrors you’ve shown

So I’ll pick up the pieces you left in this war zone
