Seorang Budak Kecil Yang Mencari Bintang

Seorang budak kecil mengimpikan bintang

Bintang yang terang jauh di ufuk galaksi

Seorang budak kecil kelihatan amat bijak

Bijak merancang, alpukahnya menjangkau orbit planet

Demi mencapai bintang itu

Seorang budak kecil yang dulunya berkejaran di halaman

Yang dahulu tersungkur lalu meratap bagai nestapa duniawi menghempap tubuh kecilnya

Kini, budak kecil sudah berlepas ke angkasa

Demi mencari bintang itu

Sesudah apungan kakinya menyentuh graviti yang berbeza

Budak kecil mencari bintang yang diimpikan

"Mana? Mana? Mana?"

"Di mana? Bintang kau di mana?"

Lelahnya si budak kecil berlepas ke angkasa mencari bintang

Kasihan! Bintang yang diimpikan tidak terlintas menyentuh irisnya

"Mana? Mana? Di mana bintang?"

Si budak kecil beradu tangisan kepada Zuhal

"Sejuk, aku tidak tahan sejuk! Aku mahu mencari bintang"

Zuhal bersimpati akan nasib budak kecil

Namun Zuhal hanya mampu berdiam

Tuhan tidak menciptakan Zuhal lumrah pertuturan

Budak kecil itu meraung seperti dahulu

Kali ini ibarat nestapa sebesar Bimasakti menghempap tubuh kecilnya

Lalu, si budak kecil mendengar bisikan menembusi jasad pendengarannya

"Adik"

"Adik tak sayang nenek ke?"

Berjurai ombak lakrimal si budak kecil

Bintang yang selama ini dicari hingga ke angkasa

Ternyata sudah lama si budak kecil timbuskannya ke jasad mantel Bumi
