Rip tides of my life

Smokers cough in Smokey pubs

Through the pines, the train beats time.

Cars speed in suburban streets,

And the headlights pry through the fog

Get rich quick and e-mails spam the world

A smooth sheet of rain, but oh the wind blows

A bird lands in a tree, hard to see… waiting

Blowing a smoke ring as I listen to the rain

Life spins fast and plot a course

Lost, in the turbulent rip tides of my life

At the bar, on a barstool, her body sits posed

An enchantress, so swinging by her charms

Desire’s rosy cheeks, aching hunger feels me

You pull me into a grasp, your face is so beautiful

Dance with me?.... Please say yes!

In an old Chevrolet, Ivory neck gleaming with freedom.

Midnight descends, and I give myself to you completely

Just to hear one single soft-spoken word escape your mouth

Electric sparks ignite us, thorns of reality prick

What the fuck is happening? Is this love?

My silence revolves; all I have found is changing words

Because It feels like my heart will stop beating without you

Come to me, silent as a dream slips into my mind

There I will worship at your sweet temple for all eternity
