I used to think that masks were cool
for a while we can all escape an us we can't rule
I used to think if only I can envy the act enough
I will eventually be enough
So the mask consistently fixes my expression a trap deeper into..,
don't even rip into my darkest insomnia session
why do we use our lips to close our eyes
these ears cannot even hear His loudest whisper
if I take this mask off...If.if.if it comes off...
they will see all of my sighs, cries, whys
without religion we will see each other deeper
run...go and ask Him...
Jesus isn't threatened by your questions, goodbyes...even your doubts
all beautiful scars under His memorial
you are carved broken yet healed,
you feel cheap yet He chipped in His precious blood and life to have You
your mind is chaotic yet He lives His palace to rest in you, things you are capable of making Kings do
we want to see the real not the reels
you think you are killing the look while the edit is killing you. you are sick because of not being authentic. how many have you injured with your Holiness...your highness...
uplifted by making others less
the real you not the reels
you better take God seriously, no need for Biblical anxiety stop with the performances
the real you not the reels
the broken, fallen, shaken, naked
the real you not the reels
the crazy you, burdened you, insecure you...
let Him introduce you to you
at your wisest peak you'll realize your efforts are stink...
only in Jesus do I meet meek
only in Jesus do I meet me
