Closure

“

Unspeakable yet not invisible,

Was the past we shared -

An unbeatable connection,

Lost in the ravages of the world.

Caught in an unforgiving tempest,

Shattering every illusion -

That we harbored together,

The past drew its curtains,

Never to be pulled again.

Swimming in unfathomable depths,

We sought the answers -

Yet we remained elusive,

Leaving the past rest,

Not in pause but in oblivion.

Until the present collided,

Bearing truths but inevitable,

Bridging no peace nor relief,

But assuaging the blank void -

The spaces the refused to close.

And the past ceases to an end -

The bodies buried deeper than the hearts,

Now. Tomorrow. And forever.
