Poisonous love

You say that you’re the Sun and I’m your moon.

Then why do you favor the Earth more than me?

You say that you’re the artist and I’m your muse.

Then why do you put a price and sell me to another?

You say that you’re the gardener and I’m your flower.

Then why do you cut my stem once my colors dull?

You say that you’re the criminal and I’m your partner.

Then why do you leave me behind bars while you roam free?
