Past Midnight

By Angela Parent

Validation, redirection, holding the future with no hesitation, relocation, the ports dropped, flipping the ignition. Ship drops ready for the spotlight, surrender in the fortnight, holding position, ready, breaking through the ice. Transition to the piston, redirecting, core intuition. The unknown map laid out, no inquisition needed. I’m taking back my heart’s delight. All night, no stopping till we hit the direct flight, the unstoppable force of love, living past midnight enjoying, savouring the spotlight directed on us, showing the course through the twilight all night. I’m taking back my thoughts tonight, dreamlands landing on the smooth path, hearing the inner voice calling through the noise, opening the door, my footprints, stepping into the true moonlight.
