My Mom (Mightiest of Mighty) – By Rajshree Naik

It’s that time, Mom, when I’d like to pen a few thoughts,

Though I doubt I can do justice to what you’ve brought.

Words seem too small to praise you, I don’t know where to start,

But with your inspiration, I’ll try to express from the heart.

There are infinite chapters of you still untold,

And of the many I’ve penned, only a few have unfolded.

Our childhood days were the best of all times,

For you made sure we lived in joy, with love as our chimes.

We called you “The Lady with the Lamp” with admiration so grand,

You spent sleepless nights; you’re truly a champ, so grand.

Your beautiful garden was a haven so divine,

Where butterflies, birds, and insects would always align.

The doors of your house were always open wide,

Friends, family, and guests flowed in with joy and pride.

Our childhood was enriched under your loving care,

With friends and loved ones always gathering there.

When we ventured out, you were like a watchful guide,

Your loving glances kept us steady, with you by our side.

You excelled in every field, so complete in all aspects,

We admire you, Mom, and bow with respect.

The best cook in the world, your recipes unmatched,

There’s so much more to learn from you, wish we had just scratched.

Your multi-tasking skills were always praised,

We fall short compared to you, your talents amazed.

We still have doubts and questions that linger in our mind,

None can offer solutions as thoughtful and kind.

You had remedies and secrets tucked away with care,

And packed them for us, though we’ve had to fare.

A dancer, musician, mentor, and guide to so many,

Finding solace elsewhere seems a quest uncanny.

Your fortitude, generosity, and zeal inspire us all,

A philanthropist, doctor, and more, your deeds stand tall.

How did you manage it all, Mom, it’s hard to grasp,

A friend, a mentor, a guide—your love we clasp.

Life won’t be the same without you, but for this gift, I thank you so,

Stay with me always, Mom, in every path I go.

I can’t thank you enough for all that you’ve done,

It saddens me deeply that you’re now gone.

You’re the wind beneath my wings, making me soar high,

Without you, I won’t be able to fly.
