My Love Is Strange

I don't really know how to love.

We all don't, I am aware.

I hate that instead of saying,

"I miss you,"

I say something rude

or push them away.

Instead of loving them,

I pretend like I don't care about them.

Instead of being able to accept

the love,

I want to push them

off the cliff.

Their love is so strong,

I don't know how to return it.

Instead, I'd rather

stay away,

'coz that way I will be protected.

I don't have to hurt them.

Love is so annoying.

Why does it have to be a certain way?

Why does it have so many restrictions and compromises?

I wish to throw them away either

or jump me.
